Short: MusicMaker V8 Version 3.0 Author: tw@webit.com (Thomas Winischhofer) Uploader: tw webit com (Thomas Winischhofer) Type: mus/edit Architecture: m68k-amigaos "MusicMaker V8" Version 3.0 (MM) is a sample-based music-editor, which I wrote from 1987 until 1993. It includes a very powerful sample-editor and a - unique! - technique for providing 8 channels on a standard Amiga, each playing on different volumes. Samples can be packed using Fibunacci-compression, leading to compression rates up to 50% (variable). SDK, sources for players and a few example tunes are included. MM runs on any Amiga (1 MB) from OS 1.3. From OS 2.1, MM's user interface can be configured to use either English or German. The program is not - so to speak - up-to-date, but there still are some people using it accross Europe. However, if you're looking for a modern 16-bit HD-recording tool, MM will not satisfy you. How to install: Copy the files to a floppy (or a harddisk directory). In case you want to install from HD, assign Install_MM: to the directory for Disk 1 MMV8: to the directory for Disk 2 MM_Instruments: to the directory for Disk 3 Otherwise, name the floppies accordingly. Then use "Install" on Disk 1. Copyright notice: MusicMaker V8 is herewith declared freeware. I do have, as a matter of fact, all necessary licenses.
