Short: Double-clicked 68k games run using E-UAE Author: Chris Handley Uploader: http://cshandley.co.uk/email Type: misc/emu Version: r6 Architecture: ppc-amigaos >= 4.0.0 The changes for this release include: * RunInUAE is now part of AmigaOS4.1 Update 4, as a Contribution :-) * It automatically uses the emulation files that come with AmigaOS4.1 Update 4. * Improved CD32 & CDTV compatibility. (Fears & Whales Voyage now start.) * Enabled CD32 Non-Volatile RAM support, so saved games are no-longer lost. * Added a "SaveGames" floppy disk for HD installed games. * Now uses Ringhio for game-launch notifications, if possible. * Now warns the user if their default screen mode will not be full-screen. * Fixed non-AmigaForever Kickstarts being wrongly rejected as not compatible with WHDLoad. * Fixed 320x240 & 320x256 screenmodes not being added (even though DDC had never been enabled). * Fixed 320x240 & 320x256 screenmodes no-longer working with AmigaOS4.1 Update 3 (but please make sure you add them again if asked during installation). * Now uses the latest (30th July 2011) release of E-UAE-amigfx. (E-UAE must be re-installed to use this version.) * Cleaned-up the installer & fixed some bugs in the process. * Added an UNinstaller for RunInUAE. * Improved documentation, especially regarding DiskImage. RunInUAE is intended to make it incredibly easy to run old Amiga games on AmigaOS4, and it comes with an easy installer, so that you can: * Run almost any HD installed 68k game (or program) inside E-UAE, by simply double-clicking on it! Including WHDLoad & JOTD JST installed games. * Run ADF & DMS games by double-clicking them. (Needs a little bit of manual set-up if you don't have at least AmigaOS4.1 Update 4.) Otherwise just drag & drop them onto RunInUAE's icon in AmiDock or it's AppIcon. * Run CD32 & CDTV games from real or virtual CDs. (Compatibility is not great.) * The installer can set-up E-UAE with full-speed Sam-optimised settings. But it can also use your existing E-UAE settings if you want. * The installer will get the necessary Kickstart ROMs from AmigaOS4.1 Update 4 (if you are using it), or otherwise it can copy them off an Amiga Forever CD. * You do *not* need to set-up any assignments, nor create or edit any cryptic scripts or config files, for it to work! (Unlike alternative solutions.)
